Frequently asked questions
Where are my drawings stored?
Not with us. CadMeta processes locally and writes directly to your SQL Server. Only license checks (key, machine ID, version) go to our API over HTTPS.
Does the plugin work offline?
Yes, with a 7-day grace period after a successful online validation. You need one online activation before the grace period applies.
Can I add modules later?
Yes. One CadMeta license key covers your account. Add-ons (Access Export, PDF Export) are added as entitlements on the same key.
How do I install updates?
App Store customers use Autodesk App Manager. Direct customers download a signed zip from /download or /account and replace the ApplicationPlugins bundle. See documentation.
Which payment methods?
Stripe checkout (card, iDEAL) — integration coming in phase 2. Enterprise on invoice after quote.
